I know how it goes. You commit to a new healthy lifestyle, starting Monday, right? Monday comes and you wake up and you’re just not feeling it, so you decide you’ll do it the next Monday. We always start the new diet or lifestyle on a Monday, right?
That's the first mistake. When you decide to be healthier, it starts then. Whether it is Sunday at 5 pm, or Wednesday at noon. When you decide it starts then.
So we came up with 7 ways that you can start now, and grow from this point.
Go for a Walk. It doesn’t have to be a long walk, and if you have a scenic park or trail nearby, this makes it that much easier to do the walk. You just want to get up and move, even if for just 10-15 minutes.
Decrease Your Social Media Time by 30 minutes. Decreasing your time on social media allows you to focus on the other areas of your life that need your attention to start your healthy lifestyle.
Add an extra serving of veggies (or even a single serving). I know veggies, but there are tons of great recipes that make veggies delicious and enjoyable, there's even a few over in our Facebook group.
Practice Gratitude. When you are grateful for what you have, it makes you open to receiving more abundance in your health. Maybe your health isn't perfect now, but some things that are doing good and being grateful for those and the healthy parts will follow.
Replace your chips with carrots or celery. Yes, potato chips are so yummy! But so are carrots and celery and they’ll give you that same crunchy snack effect you are craving.
Replace 1 soda/tea a day with a glass of water. Water is such a great way to start making healthy decisions and keeping your body hydrated.
Meditate for 10 minutes. At some point today, maybe with the 30 minutes you took away from social media, you should take 10 minutes, find a quiet place and meditate. Think of the positive and good things that your body needs and reflect on the next steps to that healthy lifestyle.
