4 Recipes to R.E.S.E.T. Your Body and Mind

Now and again we all get this brain fog and we are just overloaded. We stop taking care of our bodies and start eating what’s convenient. Our minds become so overwhelmed we have trouble focusing at work which carries over to home. We are programmed to take care of everyone else first, which in turn depletes us.

We’ve come up with some ways to R.E.S.E.T. your body and mind. Getting you back to focused and feeling great.

  1. Find a ritual you can do every day. I know there are never enough hours in the day as it is. When we take time out for ourselves, we give our body and mind a break from all the stress in our lives. Some ideas you can do daily are:

    1. Take an extra 5 minutes to sit in your car when you get home from work. Enjoy the silence and let your mind process your day before going inside.

    2. Read a chapter of that book you’ve wanted.

    3. Take a bath before bed.

    4. List three things you are grateful for that day.

  2. Take the time to lift your mood.

    1. Take a walk after dinner and enjoy the nature around you.

    2. Limit your screen time, especially before bed.

    3. Listen to your favorite songs.

    4. Have a dance party in your kitchen while you make dinner.

Another way to R.E.S.E.T your body and mind is with the food you put into your body. I know fast food is easier on busy nights or after a stressful day. If you are limited on time after work, set a day to prep all your meals for the week. Less forgetting to take out dinner, less clean up after a long day at work. Your body and mind will thank you!

Here are some ways you can R.E.S.E.T. your body and mind with food.

  1. Start your day right. When you are the kind of person that experiences drops in energy in the afternoon or finds yourself on a rollercoaster of cravings all day long, starting your day right is fundamental in setting you up for success. With these hacks, you control your weight and cravings in a radically different way.

    1. It’s all about abundance and what you CAN eat without restricting yourself or counting calories.

    2. Focus on healthy fats and proteins.

    3. Repeat after me: “Fat will not make me fat!”.

  2. Cleanse your body. A detox helps R.E.S.E.T. your body and get rid of the chemical additives, preservative and toxins that overload our bodies. Here are just some benefits of doing a detox.

    1. Rids your body of excess waste.

    2. Boosts your immune system.

    3. Improves mental clarity.

    4. Improves the look and feel of your skin.

Ayurvedic Detox Lunch

This detox dish is inspired by a dish from “Urban Remedy”. It is their Macro Bowl. It is based on Ayurvedic principles. Instead of paying a lot of money for it at the store, I wanted to see if I could just make it myself. It was delicious!

Quinoa (high in protein, fiber, minerals, and antioxidants). It is more of a seed than a grain.

Sweet potatoes (high in the antioxidant beta carotene, fiber as well as iron, calcium, and selenium which is great for thyroid).

beets that are high in phytonutrients, so that is good news for our microbiome.

Greens: instead of kale I added chard which is an iron-rich food and can help correct dark circles under the eyes.

I topped it with microgreens that have up to 40% higher nutrient content than land vegetables. Enjoy🌱🌱🌱
