As you clean up your diet and transition to eating more whole foods, less sugar, preservatives etc, your organs will get the necessary nutrients that help them to release toxins. These will have to be removed, otherwise you end up feeling worse despite your efforts. Here are some examples of ancient practices that create movement within your lymphatic system. You can pick just one or several activities during your 10 days healthy lifers detox challenge.

1. Start your day with a powerful detox tonic that cleanses and

prepares your digestive system, gallbladder and liver. Upon waking, drink 8oz of warm filtered water with 1-2 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar or the juice of half a lemon.

2. Use organic coconut oil for oil pulling. Swish 1-2 tablespoons of

liquified coconut oil inside your mouth for 4-15 minutes. Brush your teeth afterwards. This practice removes toxins and supports your oral microbiome. Very powerful!

3. Try tongue scraping. Buy a tongue scraper (at any drug store)

and gently scrape the residue from your tongue after you wake up or anytime you notice white coating on your tongue.

4. Use a Neti pot. Especially if you suffer from seasonal allergies or

you wake up with a stuffy nose, a neti pot will flush your sinuses with saline water and is a great way to cleanse and detox sinuses.

5. Use a rebounder. This is a wonderful way to get lymph flowing

in your entire body. Your lymphatics are the clean up crew in your body. Get on the rebounder first thing in the am for 10-15 minutes. You will also notice how much more energetic you feel afterwards.

If you notice resistance or negative thoughts come up, it may be helpful to write them down and journal about your resistance to these practices. Accept how you feel, notice where you feel the resistance in your body and give it space to grow bigger and to get acknowledged. Emotional trauma can prevent the body from physically detoxifying. So we want to also emotionally clean house. Once you have acknowledged those feelings, rather than stuffed them inside, you can then release them, purge them.
